What we know
Humans spend 90% of their lives indoors. Yet indoor air is 5x more contaminated than outdoor air.
There is mounting research supporting the significance of airborne transmission of viruses. Experts now acknowledge that SARS-CoV-2 can be spread by airborne transmission, and that under certain conditions, people with COVID-19 can infect those who are more than 6 feet away. This suggests that viral particles can remain suspended in the air for long periods and can be inhaled.
Course Learning Objectives
Explore how indoor air pollution in our built world impacts the health and well-being of occupants and users.
Discover three indoor air quality technologies available that help protect building occupants and users through air cleaning and disinfection solutions.
Learn how to evaluate these technologies in order to specify the best solution(s) based on the project’s needs.
Understand the industry and regulatory certifications and requirements for indoor air quality and how these IAQ technologies address the health, safety and welfare of building occupants, promoting healthier indoor air for all applications.
